Hello Fam, l hope your week is progressing smoothly! This week's health tip is on 'Expiration Dates'. An expiration date or expiry date is a predetermined date after which a product such as food or medicine should no longer be used or consumed. The product may have been contaminated and poses health risks.
Expiration dates on a product are a piece of essential information.
It indicates the manufactured and the final consumption date. It represents the shelf life for perishable goods.
Therefore, it is advisable to always check the expiration dates on canned, packed foods and medications. If the expiration date is not visible on a product, please just walk away!
Prevention is better than cure!
Have a mindful and productive week.
I missed this response but thank you for this clarification! Best before dates apply to 'unopened'. Good to know
It is not a myth; it is credible. But we need to err on the side of safety.
But what about the myth that we hear that even when it expires it can still go for sometime, is that totally false ma?
In addition, checks every time you want to use a product from your store at home to ensure the product is still safe to consume. Thank you for reminder!
Thanks for the information ma’am.
